I Found Happiness In Thriftingcef927a16fbf75564e755cef0db67d94admin
Guess who finally went shopping after 50 eleven years? This girl. For the longest time I stopped buying clothes. After my recent weight gain it was hard for me to find clothes that fit and liked. I would buy clothes that were cute and I never wore them or I would buy clothes and they fit my new body weird.
I would end up doning my black leggings and basic shirt and call it a day. I also feel like my style has changed so much that I don’t know where to shop anymore. Most of the stores I used to shop at have that Instagram-y girl look. Where it’s extremely basic, like Kanye West’s line. Or just to skimpy. Im a curvy girl with a slight pooch thin cheaply made clothes don’t look the best on me.
So I just stopped. Now that I’m loosing weight (I dropped down to a triple y’all!) I want to look cute again. Enter in thrifting I forgot all about it but there’s a little shop I found exploring my town. They have good designer brands with high quality turn over. I mean no stains and the clothes are fairly recent it’s called Pretty Simple.
I’m obsessed! I ended up getting a cute romper some platform shoes a cute top and a tote bag in a style I’ve wanted for years (I need a throw it on bag most of mine are dressy). It’s so nice to have normal clothes again and dressing how I want. Thrifting gave me that option back and I feel as if it tailored to me and I see the irony in it.
If you’re in the same style rut and need something refreshing I encourage you to give thrifting a chance. It’s a good way to add something unique to your wardrobe without breaking the bank and you never know what you could find.
